Collection: Money in politics
Description: Illinois contributions data was obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections. Bulk data was created by joining tables of contributions and receiving committees. Data is available from July 1994 on and has been updated through Sept. 16, 2021.
Each record is a single campaign contribution made to a political campaign from an individual or business. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
