Collection: Government Spending
Description: Data is from the Utah Division of Purchasing and General Services. The data was obtained from the Utah Open Data portal and was last updated on December 15, 2019.
The full data set contains all payments made by the state, including biweekly payroll, jury duty compensation, etc. Only those records pertaining to contracts have been kept. Each record represents a single contract or purchase order between a state agency and an outside vendor providing goods or services.
The full data set contains all original variables and new variables added with minimally, consistently, and confidently normalized character strings. These normalized strings are those searched from the Accountability database.
Data was processed using R software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
